waw I'm still in full frustration looking at the food I bought from this place. It's Sunday morning in this Mission area (was heading my dance class at odc round the corner), and I was looking for a quick bite. I found nothing but this corner cafe. Was quickly greet by the shop lady (she was very friendly tho). Orders a ham & cheese croissant and a bottle of Naked healthy juice. $7 please. I absolutely hated my food. The croissant was not fresh at all, the cheese was so dry and plastic and the ham was just sad. 3 disappointment combined in one brought triple sadness. And there were flying bugs everywhere in the cafe!!!! Don't ever go there.

I was a bit unsure about this new cafe but was lead there by my other 'hood cafés having terrible salad options. Yeah, terrible fast cafe salad options in the Mission. What a disgrace! Joliba had exactly what I was looking for and needed. This is a great new food option in the 'hood. The Niçoise is tasty but they need to fix the to go dressing a bit and if the green beans we're blanched it would've been great. I loved the spinach avocado with Boar's Head chicken! Welcome Delicious Joliba!

This is exactly the type of place I'd love to see succeed in the hood. A friendly, unpretentious cafe with a caring owner that is working hard to cater to the needs of the neighborhood. On my first visit I was pretty underwhelmed by the quality of the cup of coffee for the price, but I gave Joliba another try and on my second visit already saw tons of improvements to the menu and the owner was eager to hear my thoughts. Now I pass right by Melange (where the staff could learn a lot about customer service from Joliba) and stop here when I need a quick coffee or breakfast or lunch to go.
